Immigration Study Group Event: Film and Speaker March 28 at First Parish at 6:30 pm Join Craig Nowak and Faith Bade for a showing of the film “The Least of These” and a discussion by Nancy Sweeney, First Parish member and a clinical psychologist who has for the past two years provided psychological evaluations for clients of the Asylum Network of the Physicians for Human Rights. Nancy has worked with clients from Guatemala, Afghanistan, and Eastern Europe, in collaboration with other organizations. The film is a documentary on the detention of immigrant children in a former prison in Texas and the controversy that occurs when activist attorneys discover the conditions.   It explores the role and limits of community activism, and considers how American rights and values apply to the least powerful among us.
